Welcome to ASU's New Media Network!
The ASU New Media Network is a single resource for distributing a multi-textural collection of new media produced throughout the university to meet a varied but focused set of purposes and objectives. Media may be re-purposed and redistributed across multiple distribution channels (streaming media, podcast, cable television, DVD, Internet2 multicast streaming, etc.) to maximize communication impact, feedback, research, and teaching and learning effectiveness.
ASUtv Special Feature, "Why We Fight" during May and June
ASUtv is presenting a special re-broadcast of Frank Capra's epic 7-part World War II series "Why We Fight" during the months of May and June. These special broadcasts will include period newsreels which were shown to the public in movie theaters during the war years. We will also include short film documentaries produced for the U.S. War Department by award-winning Hollywood directors including John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, and of course, Frank Capra. Our Vintage Movie Theater will also feature many movies from the WWII era.
We hope you will join us for "Why We Fight", an epic attempt by Frank Capra to encapsulate the horror and destruction the world suffered under the Axis powers of Germany, Italy and Japan.
